Tim Sutton's American Quilt Series celebrates quilting through unique Stained Glass pieces. Nineteenth-century friendship quilts inspired Tim Sutton. In these quilts loved ones would make a quilt for someone who was getting married or departing on a trip. They would include thoughts and quotes to as Sutton puts it give "support, comfort, and even a sense of identity." 

Sutton's stained glass celebration of quilting will be on display in conjunction with the 48th Annual Utah Quilt Show through Sep 17, 2022 in the Swanson Gallery.
