2024 Mural Artist Pool (application ongoing)

Springville City’s Public Art Program seeks to commission artists to create original murals at various sites around Springville City. A selection panel of community representatives, arts and culture professionals, and civic leaders will be assembled to select and recommend an artist or artist team for the projects. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is ongoing and applicants will be added to the artist pool. Springville City and departments will review applications as projects arise. Artists in the pool may or may not be contacted to create a proposal for a project.


Manhole Covers - Request for Proposals

Springville City’s Public Art Program seeks to commission artists to create original designs that will be installed on manhole covers at various sites around Springville City. We are looking for two different designs, one each for sewer and storm drain covers. Each artist can submit one design for each type of cover. One to two artists will be chosen. The allocated budget is $500 for each design. A selection panel of community representatives, arts and culture professionals, and civic leaders will be assembled to select and recommend an artist(s) or artist team for the project. This initiative aims to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the area while enhancing the identity of Art City.

Hobble Creek Story Fence Panel - Request for Proposals

Springville City’s Public Art Program is seeking proposals from talented artists interested in designing a mural that will be laser cut for a metal fence panel to be installed near Hobble Creek at Contractor Legacy Park in Springville, Utah. A selection panel of community representatives, arts and culture professionals, and civic leaders will be assembled to select and recommend an artist or artist team for the project. The selected artist will receive a compensation of $1000.00 for their design. This project aims to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the area while reflecting the rich history of Hobble Creek.
