School Field Trips
The Springville Museum of Art offers free interactive tours for public, private, and homeschool groups of all grade levels. Tours can be customized to suit your group’s interests and needs. Please submit visit requests at least two weeks in advance. Once your request is received, a Museum representative will contact you to schedule and confirm your visit.
Each scheduled school will receive a pre-visit packet with activities and images designed to help students and teachers prepare for their Museum visit. All groups regardless of tour type will need to comply with our Chaperone Requirements: Middle and high school groups need 1 adult for every 10 students; Elementary groups need 1 adult for every 5 students.
Types of Visits
Guided Tours: These 30-minute tours are led by trained docents who engage students through discussion and interactive activities to forge personal connections to the artwork. All tours align with state visual arts core standards.
· Exhibition Specific Tours: These tours take place Monday-Friday from 10am-5pm and explore one of our curated exhibitions in the Upper Galleries.
· SenseABLE Tour: This specialized tour focuses on sensory experiences by allowing students to touch and feel different textures inspired by selected artworks. Though designed for all students, this tour especially supports visitors with disabilities.
Self-Guided Tours: Groups can explore the Museum independently, using activity materials we provide to enrich the experience.
Virtual Field Trips
Can't visit in person? We offer virtual field trips that bring the Museum directly to your classroom!
