Teens and adults welcome! Join us as we explore our emotional state (mood) through music and abstract art in a free-flowing creative experience. This is about freedom, not perfection. Let go, create, and discover something new about yourself.workshops consist of creating an open environment for exploratory image-making in a personal sketchbook. Participants are given prompts and exercises that help develop creativity and confidence, while reinforcing the value of drawing and image-making. We use a variety of media and drawing tools to do this. K.A. Bushman is a Provo, Utah-based artist with a background in New York, Berkeley, and Santa Fe. She studied Fine Arts at Santa Fe Community College, collaborated with Meow Wolf’s founders, earned a B.S. in Psychology from Utah Valley University, and is pursuing a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Following her brother’s passing in 2019, Kirstiann turned to abstraction to process emotion, blending psychology, spirituality, and nature into her work. Her intuitive yet intricate drawings balance fluidity and precision, capturing the raw complexity of existence. Most recently, her work was exhibited at the Springville Museum of Art’s 100th Annual Spring Salon in 2024. https://kabushman.bigcartel.com/ Cost is $55 per participant and includes supplies.
