Join us for a Tomatoes and Tunes concert with Desert Heartstrings, in conjuction with Springville's farmers Market. Concert will be held at the Civic Center Park Gazebo.

Desert Heartstrings, formerly known as The Fab Folk, is the dynamic husband-and-wife folk rock/Americana duo of Jake and Melissa Haws from Springville, Utah. Their music captivates with tight vocal harmonies and a rich tapestry of folk instruments, including acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, kick drum, and tambourine. Adding a modern twist, they integrate live loop pedal recordings into their performances, creating a layered, immersive sound experience.

The duo brings a soulful, rootsy touch to classics by The Beatles, Johnny Cash, and Neil Young, while seamlessly blending in hits from contemporary artists like Zach Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Lord Huron, and The Lumineers.

They’ve toured across the Rocky Mountain region, gracing stages at the Utah Arts Festival, America’s Freedom Festival at Provo, Kimball Arts Festival at Park City, Escalante Canyons Arts Festival, and many more top venues and events, including Deer Valley Resort, The Grand America Hotel, and Thanksgiving Point.

Desert Heartstrings’ mellow yet upbeat sound resonates with all ages, inviting older audiences to reminisce with beloved classics while connecting with younger listeners through today’s hits. As one client put it, “It was hard to not sing along or move around while listening to Desert Heartstrings! Highly recommended for any type of event!”
